Nature's World - Your Future?

Nature's World at Middlesbrough have created a range of new educational interactives and features to demonstrate how science and technology can work with nature to offer us all a better, more sustainable future.

"Future World 2020" incorporates an interactive model which demonstrates how our Eco-Centre operates by utilizing a combination of clean, renewable energy technologies - namely geothermal power, solar power and wind power. 'Future World' also features a 'space-age' journey to the year 2020 to explore ideas and technologies for the future. Also a big screen AV presentation shows how precious but fragile our planet is and how real the threats of global warming and climate change are and what we can all do about it.

New interactive information points, new solar powered 'talking posts' and new signage across the whole 25-acre site has raised the educational impact of the site to new levels.

Also the new educational play areas have been developed to encourage role play and hands-on learning especially in science, and technology. A wide range of curriculum linked trials with worksheets and teacher notes are available.

Nature's World also offers wet weather facilities, excellent picnic areas and access to our adventure play areas during lunch times etc. Refreshments, gifts and souvenirs are also available in our shops.
