Nature's World is a unique site where we aim to provide information, ideas and inspiration for living in harmony with nature, and improving our environment.  By using sustainable practices, such as renewable energy and recycling, we have created a 25-acre peaceful rural haven on the edge of thriving urban Middlesbrough.

Nature's World has evolved into a thriving visitor attraction, training centre and education facility for the whole of the local and wider community including schools, the unemployed and disabled.

Please Note: Children must be supervised at all times and in all areas when visiting Nature's World due to the nature of our facilities ie: Ponds and Waterways.  It is the responsibility of teachers and support staff to ensure that all safety instructions are observed, if you would like to download our school risk assessments please click here.

 Planning a Day Visit

 Example of a full day visit:

• Start with our Minibeast Safari before returning to the Education Hall to examine/sketch one of the minibeasts or even create one of your own.

• Lunch in the Education Hall or in the picnic area if the weather is nice.  Do an eco-analysis of the rubbish collected from lunch.

• Wander the River Tees Trail completing the worksheet before visiting Future World 2020 for some thought on our impact on the world and its consequences.

• Consider fitting in a visit to our gift shop and the adventure playground.
